Columbus, Ohio:  On March 9, 2006, several Lakeland Electric customers received calls from scam artists posing as the utility’s collections agents. Callers indicated that customers’ bills were overdue and that payment was required in person. The attempt was thwarted using technology developed by Twenty First Century Communications.
