City of Hesperia, CA Selects TFCC as Emergency Notification System Provider
Columbus, OH, July 21, 2010: Twenty First Century Communications (TFCC) today announced that it has been chosen by the City of Hesperia as its’ emergency notification system provider.Â
“After a competitive bidding process, the City of Hesperia is pleased to select Twenty First Century Communications to provide emergency notifications to its residents,” said Mayor Thurston “Smitty” Smith, “The City makes every effort to be a source of reliable information during times of emergencies, and TFCC provides another means of disseminating accurate time sensitive information to the residents of Hesperia.”
The primary use of the system will be to disseminate messages pertaining to the health, safety or welfare of the City of Hesperia when it is affected by a perceived, emerging, or imminent emergency event such as:Â severe weather, water contamination, missing persons, wildfire warnings, and much more.
With TFCC’s emergency notification system the City of Hesperia will be able to send time-sensitive, targeted messages to select groups and geographic areas andis capable of reaching landlines, cellular and VoIP phones, BlackBerrys/PDAs, pagers and TTY/TTD devices for the hearing impaired. Messages can also be sent via SMS/text messaging, fax, email and Twitter.Â
