Twenty First Century Communications Unveils Mobile Outage Reporting at CS Week
Columbus, Ohio:Â Industry leading communications provider Twenty First Century Communications today announced the availability of Mobile Outage Reporting, unveiled at CS WEEK 2009.
Now, with the addition of Mobile Outage Reporting to TFCC’s industry standard High Volume Call Answering (HVCA) service, utility customers will be able to report a power outage on their mobile devices using a web site designed specifically for mobile devices. It is another way TFCC helps enhance utility customer service.
A May 2008 “Mobile Internet Usage and Attitudes Study” of wireless device users by dotMobi and AKQA showed that 56% of participants considered mobile Internet access to be ‘Very Important’ or ‘Important’. A full 84% of participants said they would be interested in knowing whether certain sites are easily accessible via the Internet on their mobile phones.
“Upgrades and enhancements to TFCC’s systems have always been driven by the needs and trends affecting our clients,” said Bently Collier, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “This is just another way we help our utility clients maintain the high levels of customer satisfaction expected in the industry.”
Mobile Outage Reporting benefits include:
- Increased customer satisfaction and convenience
- Customers can log in at their convenience, get status anytime, and don’t have to wait for a call
- Mobile devices are more prevalent than Internet connections
- It works when the power is out
- It uses the existing HVCA interface
- The utility can own the domain, such as www.acmeenergy.mobi
- It can be expanded to include customer service options like balance inquiry or start/stop service.
